Aquilone

Aquilone evokes the sense of wonder one feels when
playing freely with a string, the air and the light,
bringing that same emotion into the home.Made from
curved ash and reinforced parchment, it is a long
semi-cylinder whose shape lends itself to use as a large
floor, wall or pendant lamp. The frame consists of a
central rhombus that echoes the design of traditional
kites and eight horizontal reinforcing slats. A large sheet
of white parchment, through which the light from the
light sources shines, is tailored to fit the structure. The
lamp comes with a reel holding 10 metres of electrical
cable with a plug. This length of cable allows it to be
placed anywhere in the space without restriction.
Aquilone is a lamp that is nomadic by nature. It finds
its place effortlessly, like a luminous window hanging
on a wall, like a light sculpture resting on the ground,
or like a celestial body suspended in mid-air. It remains
unplanned, untethered and entirely free
